In 2005, Brandon Sanderson debuted with Elantris, an epic fantasy unlike any other then on the market. To celebrate its tenth anniversary, Tor is reissuing Elantris in a special edition, a fresh chance to introduce it to the myriad readers who have since become Sanderson fans.
This new edition begins with a preface by author Dan Wells, the first person to read the completed novel, and a new afterword by Sanderson explaining how he came to write the book and its place in the Cosmere, the unified universe of all his Tor novels.
Also included is an expanded version of the “Ars Arcanum” appendix, with more of the technical details of the book’s magic that fans can never get enough of.
Elantris was truly a milestone both for Sanderson and for the genre of epic fantasy. It deserves this special treatment, something Tor has done only once before, with Orson Scott Card’s Ender’s Game. Sanderson fans old and new will be excited to discover it.

this is a good book but be aware that the narrator is in monotonous monologue. you cant even distinguish who s talking and you will get confused by this narrator. just download the Graphic audio one. i cant endure monotonous monologue anymore and has to endure the graphic audio one instead even though i dont like the graphic audio renditions but it is clearly better than this one.
TL;DR this book is very good but narrator sucks pls download the other version or the graphic audio dramatization 1

The narrator is bad. He doesn’t seem to understand what adjectives mean. For instance, the text will say that a certain line was said mischievously, or whispered, or something, but he won’t read it in that manner. Takes some imagination to fill in the blanks that any decent narrator SHOULD be doing for you. I can tell the characters apart just fine, but often have to imagine the characters saying things in the correct manner, as you would do when actually reading a book. Try the graphic audio version. Probably less bad.
